Christmas WreathGenerosity is the word for the day!  Tis the season and all that – but I do have to say this neighborhood is very generous in many causes. 

Recently we participated in a community coat drive to gather coats for those in need and we were overwhelmed with the response.  We ended up donating 31 coats to keep people in the Centralia/Chehalis community warm this winter.

We gather food monthly to give to the Centralia Food Bank and over the year we give about 500 pounds of food so that our Centralia community in need has food to eat.  Many times it is easier to just write a check to make a donation but I really appreciate that Stillwaters Estates residents take the time to shop, bring the food to The Gathering Place and donate to this year-round effort.

This time of year our office is also overflowing with resident generosity – in the form of fruit, chocolate, Applets and Cotlets and other goodies.  It is very special that residents take the time to say thank you and Merry Christmas and we all appreciate it!

Happenings this week:

Tonight:  Movie Night here at Stillwaters Estates.  For your Christmas viewing pleasure we present “It happened on 5th Avenue”, with Victor Moore and Gale Storm.  A 1947 goodie!  Come for ice cream at 5:45 and then the movie promptly at 6 p.m.

Friday through Tuesday, December 20th to December 24th:  Fort Borst Park Drive-Thru Light Display, Centralia, 5-9 p.m., $3 or $2 with a can of food or new toy donation.  A great light show to check out!

Weather:  Snow is in the air!  Literally, we are forecast for snow tomorrow morning so take care on what could be a slippery day.  This morning was very icy and as the snow moves in overnight this makes for a bad combination.  The weather will be rainy until Christmas Eve and then we are in for a few days of the sun peeking through clouds.  Nice Holiday Weather!
