Holiday festivities are so abundant this week I thought I would just give you the scoop on what’s happening in the area.  Enjoy!

Friday, December 12th:
The CHS Jazz Choir will be here to perform some holiday favorites for us on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12 at 11:30 a.m. here in The Gathering Place. These young people never fail to warm our hearts with their enthusiasm and talent. Their director, Lauri Johnson, will be in attendance as well – she is a pip and will also keep us well entertained!

Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th:
Winter Wonderland Bazaar Friday and Saturday, December 12-13, over 100 vendors provide a one-stop Christmas shopping experience at the Yard Birds Mall in Chehalis. Children can take their picture with Elsa from Frozen on Friday, and with Santa on Saturday. Plus, Christmas-themed arts and crafts, live music, caroling, a storybook corner, raffles, door prizes, and more! The Winter Wonderland Bazaar runs from 2-7pm on Friday, and 9am-6pm on Saturday. Saturday, December 13th:
It’s A Wonderful Life Movie Showings at Bethel Church at 413 N. Tower in Centralia on Saturday, December 13th. There will be two showings, 3:30 and 7:30PM. Admission is free.

5th Annual Lighted Tractor Parade On Saturday, December 13th at 6pm, watch the parade in downtown Centralia with several new and antique tractors, as well as other vehicles decked in Christmas lights and decorations. For a parade entry application, visit downtowncentralia.org, or call the Centralia Downtown Association Office at 827-1609.

Christmas decoSaturday, December 13th and Sunday, December 14th:
Southwest Washington Dance Center’s performing company will present its 19th annual production of the full-length holiday classic “The Nutcracker” at Centralia College’s Corbet Theatre this weekend. Performance times will be 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Ticket prices are adults, $22; seniors 62-plus and children 18 and under $15. Tickets are available online at www.swwdance.org, at the box office of Corbet Theatre on the campus of Centralia College from the hours of 1-8 p.m. or by calling (360) 748-4789. All seating is reserved.

Saturday, December 13th through Sunday, December 28th:
Borst Park Christmas Lights Display Enjoy the spectacular Christmas drive-thru lights display at Borst Park between December 13th and December 28th, from 5-9pm. Admission is $3 per vehicle, or $2 with a canned food item as a donation to the Lewis County Food Bank. Be sure to make it part of your family’s festivities!

Annual Stillwaters Christmas Party Tradition -Dinner for Residents. All Stillwaters residents are invited to attend and enjoy this favorite holiday festivity. Hosted by Dave and Diana Williams. From 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Gathering Place.
